Evan takes top English honours and Sammy becomes Welsh Under 16 Champion
City of Manchester stormed the English Championships to start the competition season off with a bang! Our under 18 Men proved their worth this weekend winning 6 medals between them and taking 5 English titles, and our Women did us proud taking 4th place on Aspire Bars, 6th place on Senior Floor and all finishing in the top 50%. Sammy also competed 2 weeks ago at the Welsh Championships taking 4 titles including the Under 16 All Around.
Evan – All Around English Under 18 Champion, Floor Champion and Rings Champion.
Jamiah – English High Bar Champion, Silver on Vault and 9th All Around
Lucas – English Parallel Bars Champion
Annabelle – 4th on Bars in the Aspire Championships, 11th All Around
Lexi – 28th All Around Senior Women, 6th on Floor
Lauren – 52nd All Around Senior Women
Jack – Bronze on High Bar, 4th on Rings, 5th on Parallel Bars and finishing 11th All Around in the under 16 Championships
Sammy – Welsh Under 16 Champion, Floor Champion, Pommel Champion, Rings Champion, Bronze on Parallel Bars, and competed as a guest at the English finishing only 0.3 behind the English Champion.
Alfie – 9th on Rings, 26th All Around in the under 14 Championships
Jacob and Tom competed in the Men’s Senior and showed a well composed performance across all 6 apparatus to finish 24th and 22nd respectively.

Harry who had prepared well in warm up unfortunately had to withdraw after taking an injury during his last floor tumble after hurting his ankle. We wish you a speedy recovery Harry, keep your chin up you’ve got loads more to give and will get your chance soon.
